Hello My Name Is...

Ms. Roberts

My name is Danielle Roberts and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I will be your child’s 2nd grade teacher this upcoming school year.  I am originally from Huntington Beach, CA, but moved to South Carolina in 2013. I have one younger brother James, who still lives in California. I currently reside on Saint Helena Island, with my Australian Cattle Dog. I love hiking, camping, going to the beach, and riding my bike. My favorite color is pink and my favorite food is pizza. I am a graduate of California State University, Long Beach, where I received both my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies/Language and Literacy Studies.  I have been in the education field for ten years. Prior to working at Whale Branch Elementary School, I taught 4th grade at North Charleston Elementary School in Charleston, SC.  I have also taught elementary school for eight years in California in various grade levels, and also worked for two years in the Education Department at Patriots Point Naval and Maritime Museum in Charleston, SC.
