Whale Branch Elementary School provides a supportive environment where students are encouraged to be active participants in their learning. With a focus on individual growth, students receive personalized learning tailored to their individual strengths and learning styles.
Along with a strong academic program, WBES focuses on the social and emotional growth of their students. Through a variety of enrichment opportunities, students develop into well-rounded, confident leaders, both in and out of the classroom.
The Learning Through Leadership program at WBES supports a culture of empowerment and helps unleash each student’s full potential. Students gain fundamental leadership and life skills that help prepare them for success in middle school and beyond.
Leader In Me
Based on Steven Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, the Leader in Me program promotes social and emotional learning for our students through seven practices, or habits, that empower students with leadership and life skills needed to thrive in the 21st century. It is based upon the premise that every child possesses unique strengths and has the ability to be a leader. Students develop the skills and self-confidence needed to lead their lives and succeed in school and beyond.
